I started my blog as a way to inspire and educate others. I love being able to connect with others and share a passion from hundreds of miles away. As a plus size blogger, I understand the pressures of looking thin in today's society and the impact negative body image can take on a young girl's life. I look to instill a sense of pride in so many young girls and women that you can be comfortable in your own skin, through embracing your body and natural hair.
My last perm was May 2011, so I am going on towards my third year relaxer free. I LOVE my hair and have built a relationship with it. I am still learning what my hair likes because it is constantly changing as it gets longer.
As a recent graduate from THE Florida State University, I am currently pursuing a career in Non-Profit Management. My heart has always been to help those who need it most. I am an avid supporter and advocate for equal educational opportunities for our youth, because they are the seeds of our future.
I am open to opportunities in all of these various fields and am happy to speak with any prospective partnerships.
